Team Athletes vs. Epilepsy
The Epilepsy Foundation is dedicated to making sure that people with epilepsy and seizures can experience all that life has to offer. Athletes vs. Epilepsy affirms this positive message and embodies it through action.
Athletes vs. Epilepsy is a nationwide program for athletes, coaches, volunteers and fans to raise awareness and money to help fund the Epilepsy Foundation's mission.
The program is led by present and former athletes:
- Sam Estes, College Football Athlete
- Chanda Gunn, Olympic Ice Hockey Medalist
- Zach McGinnis, Professional Swimmer
- Michael Poole, Professional Triathlete
- Geoff Pope, Super Bowl Champion
- Mike Simmel, Mighty Mike Basketball & Bounce Out the Stigma Project
Join Team Athletes vs. Epilepsy on Saturday, March 22, 2014, our team will join hundreds of other teams in participating in the 8th Annual National Walk for Epilepsy in Washington, D.C.
With 1 in 26 people developing epilepsy at some point in their lives, we are helping to raise awareness about seizures and are raising money to help accelerate the development of new therapies.
